No experience required
Beginners are welcome. Basic positions, movement and training rules are introduced progressively.
BJJ TRIAL CLASS ZURICH
You do not need martial arts experience or a particular fitness level. Suitable sportswear and a water bottle are enough for your first session, and a coach helps you choose an appropriate starting class.

YOUR FIRST VISIT
A trial class lets you experience the dojo, class structure and training culture. Tell us whether you have any previous experience and which days work for you, and we will recommend a sensible starting point.
Beginners are welcome. Basic positions, movement and training rules are introduced progressively.
You do not have to get fit before starting. Fitness develops through consistent training.
The team considers your experience, programme interest and possible training days before recommending a first session.
You do not have to spar or compete in order to practise BJJ as a long-term hobby.
BEGINNER-FRIENDLY STARTS
Where the current Zurich schedule explicitly lists Fundamentals or Beginner sessions, we show them below. If no suitable class appears, the team can recommend an appropriate all-level session.
HOW TO PREPARE
Clean, comfortable clothing without hard zips or unsuitable parts is enough for a first visit.
A water bottle and flip-flops for moving off the mat are useful.
Come a few minutes before class so you can orient yourself and briefly meet the coach.
Say openly when something is new, unclear or uncomfortable. A trial should give you a realistic and safe first impression.
COACHING
The coaching team combines teaching experience, technical detail and practical mat experience.
